Welcome to Carols Kiddiecare Care where you will find excellent quality and high standards of childcare for babies and children from birth to 6 years of age.
My objectives are to provide a loving home like environment which ensures your child has all the comforts and security of a home setting in a stimulating environment where children will thrive, play, learn and have fun.
It is important to me that the children I care for are happy, safe and enjoy their childhood to the fullest and at the same time gain a knowledge of different experiences by participating in a range of activities.
As an Ofsted registered childminder I can provide lots of individual attention to your child.
My childminding business has been running since January 1996 and since Ofsted introduced grading I have maintained my ‘Good’ status since April 2015. You are welcome to view my Ofsted report on the Ofsted website.
I live in Salcombe Regis with my partner Julian, it is a beautiful part of Sidmouth and my setting is 1 mile from the Donkey Sanctuary which we visit regularly. I find that the location of my setting is in the heart of great resources.
We have a large garden which we use on a daily basis (weather permitting) which ensures the children get lots of exercise. We regularly go on walks around my setting where we see a variety of animals and it gives the children chance to amble and walk at their pace whilst they explore with their friends.
I am a mother to 3 children - James, Robert and Laura - all of whom are grown up and I am a Nannie to 4 gorgeous grandsons and I have a granddaughter due in September 2026. Having a family of my own and childminding for a considerable time I believe I have a plethora of knowledge when it comes to caring for children.
I attend regular meetings with my Early Years team to enable me to keep up to date with information regarding the EYFS and other issues that can arise in childcare.
Leaving my 7 month old son to return to work is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. From the first moment we met Carol we knew she was the perfect person we wanted to leave him with. Carol is extremely professional and meets all the standards you would look for in a childminder. She has been extremely accommodating!

From the moment we walked in to Carol's house our 4 year old son obviously felt at home, he never had any problems settling in with Carol. She really helped us out of a jam over the summer months, and has helped Alexander grow as a child over the 7 weeks he has been with Carol.

We found Carol by using this website as we were looking for Childcare for our three year old on the occasional Friday as and when required. We found Carol easy to contact and flexible with our requirements for childcare which sometimes had to be amended at the last minute due to work commitments.
Dropping off was always very easy and Carol cares for our three year old in her own home environment which is always impeccably clean, tidy and in a beautiful rural location.
Carol is always welcoming and our three year old always came home tired and happy which meant he had a good day. We loved the fact that our three year old would come home with paintings, pictures, cards and crafts that he made for us and activities such as making fairy cakes also seemed to go down well.
We would thoroughly recommend Carol for any parent looking for full or part time care for their child or children.

Our son really enjoys his time with Carol. At drop off he is all smiles and eager for a Carol cuddle. At pick up he is happy and knackered. The daily journal is very helpful to not only know the daily routine but to read what fun activities the children got to enjoy that day.
We are thrilled to have discovered Carol and we have no doubt our son will continue to learn and develop with every visit and always come home with a happy face. Five stars.
